Bio
Jamie Prosser has been musical since birth. Growing up in Georgia, Kentucky and North Carolina has exposed her to many musical experiences and a variety of musical styles. She began singing at age five and playing piano at age eight.
Jamie continued to sing and play piano and was in numerous musical productions throughout high school and college. During those years she discovered the talent of poetry and lyrical writing, which developed into a love of songwriting.
After graduating from Appalachian State University with a communications degree, Jamie moved to Nashville to pursue writing. She made her Sunday night songwriter showcase debut at The Bluebird Cafe on November 10, 2002. On March 2, 2004 she performed as one of four featured women in the "Chick Singer Night" at The Bluebird Cafe. And on July 25, 2004 she won a songwriting contest and played in the round with Billy Kirsch at the Belcourt Theater.
Her devotion, ambition and enthusiasm combined with her talent will lead her far in the music industry. She says, "By writing about my life's hopes and dreams, highs and lows, I want people to listen, laugh, think and believe that any dream is possible."
